It is your typical mass masala entertainer that treads on a formulaic storyline with few decent twists n turns. Most of the characters are pretty much your regulars. What really makes it work is the delightful performance of Chiranjeevi, who provides a thoroughly enjoyable throwback experience with his playful antics, self referential elements, mass elevations and moving emotional moments. The second half entertains better post the entry of Ravi Teja. The banters between the two were good fun. On the whole, watch it only if you wanna have some vintage chiru fun.

Poonakalu Load kale Booting Problem anukunta….

The only takeaway from the film is that Vertigo effect ( nijam cheppara Bobby ga yaada nunchi dengeysav ) other than that and obviously The MEGASTAR there's nothing impressive enough in the film.

Commercial cinema needs to be handled very carefully tbh it's even harder to make a perfect Commercial Film than an Art film. The thing with Commercial Cinema or any film per se the one liner, if the one liner is good (when you sum up the story in one line and it still excites the listener ) then that makes a perfect film [ heard it somewhere recently in some interview can't remember who it was sorry 🥲 ]. If that…

After ages an entertaining south masala movie. From the interval sequence movie was too much fun loaded.
Chiranjeevi vibing in different shades and colourful dresses.

    - SANKRANTI WINNER 🗣️
    - 1st half > 2nd half but still overall very good
    - obviously nothing new or unique, but it's a very well made masala film. characters, elevations, emotions, comedy, ... -- they all worked very well.
    - honestly have no complaints other than the lengthy runtime & last 10 minutes, but i don't even mind those that much either.
    - thank you megastar, mass maharaja, and bobby kolli 🙏
    - my dad, a massive chiru fan, was so happy all throughout and it was honestly so wholesome.

why the f*ck do i have a crush on ravi teja all of a sudden. WHAT IS HAPPENING

    “Don’t Stop Dancing…Poonakaalu Loading!”

Chiranjeevi clearly has the time of his life here. And trust me, it’s infectious. What a delight to watch the Mega Star finally let unleash fun non-stop, that too after a string of relatively somber avatars!

Loved the formulaic formula: Keep the plot simple; Focus more on action, elevation blocks, glamour, and entertainment.

Festive masala entertainment done right. This is how every multi-starrer “mass” film should be (I’m looking at you,Jilla). Wish it were a fully packed local screen though, really.

    P. S.This is my first Ravi Teja starrer on big screen. The man has some screen presence, especially pit against someone like Chiranjeevi.

    P. P. S.Shruti Haasan deserves to be in more films.

A sankranthi miracle. The bare minimum for Telugu mass cinema of the early 2010s, but most of it is staged surprisingly well and Chiru's soft return to wholesome boomer humour hits the spot. We need to also get that cutie Chiru again that popped up in the Abbanee Theeyani Dhebba callback and then all will be good.

much better than i expected tbh

  • Review by Surya | Screen Savor ★½ 8

I might get a lot of hate for this but this film too isn't any better than any of the other Sankranti films that released this year from both Tamil and Telugu industries. There ain't one thing in the film to justify it's tagline of Poonakalu loading! Just as Veera Simha Reddy, this one too suffers so much from the artificiality in it's execution but given that it is directed by Bobby Kolli, it comes as no surprise to me.

At least VSR had some okayish plot twists like the one at the interval that I believe many wouldn't have seen coming but with Waltair Veeraya, it's a different case, it is again the same revenge based film that almost…

TFI, I am once again begging you not to make actors speak in Telangana dialect and shove it down our throats if they can’t actually do it PLS.
